Organic Motion has created the most advanced turnkey Computer Vision system in the market. Stage is a video-based motion tracking system that sees humans the way humans see each other. With its high level of cognition and artificial intelligence, Stage instantly generates real-time accurate 3D motion data for 21 bones as the user steps into the scan space.

Customizable Truss

Cameras


1. A scan space built using a customizable truss system covered with a reflective white cloth to maximize tracking accuracy

2. 14 monochrome cameras to capture 2D video of the person being tracked in the system, as the user steps into the scan space


3D Tracking

MotionBuilder Plugin


3. A Vision Processor that takes the information streaming from the 14 cameras and generates real-time full 3D motion data for 21 bones utilizing proprietary algorithms

4. Software plugins and Software Development Kit (SDK) that seamlessly stream the real-time 3D data into Autodesk’s MotionBuilder animation software, The MotionMonitor biomechanics software, or other software that requires accurate real-time 3D motion data

Technical Specifications:

  • Scan space: 5m. x 4m. x 2.5m. (16ft. x 13ft. x 8ft.) or customizable according to customer specifications
  • 60-120 fps, real-time with approximately 25-100ms. latency
  • 14 monochrome cameras
  • Data and output format: 3D motion data for 21 bones (3D position, 3D orientation and length of the bones), through plug-ins or SDK; specific formats available upon request.
  • Tracking:
    •      · 21 bones - 5 to 6 degrees of freedom each
         · Tracks one actor at a time
         · No need for special suits or attached devices
         · More than one actor can interact in the scan space
         · Props may be used without disrupting the motion capture of the subject following defined guidelines
  • Designed for indoor use in typical artificial and/or natural lighting

Calibration

  • System Calibration: on-site in approximately 2 minutes via wand
  • Subject Calibration: instantaneously or semi-automatic via calibration poses
  • Lens Calibration: lens distortion is pre-calibrated prior to shipping
