OpenStage™ generates an exact ‘digital clone’ of each trainee in real-time. This digital clone provides extensive information gleaned from multiple inexpensive video cameras including exact motion, exact body dimensions, and exact surface features. This rich data is available live and may be used in many ways - such as to drive an animated character, or an avatar that looks exactly like the trainee, or to measure trainees’ exact moves for specific physical training, medical analysis, and/or identification purposes.
Bridge Live to Virtual to Constructive Training in Real-time
OpenStage™ can be configured in many ways for the military - trainees can be in individual ‘pods’ anywhere in the world - but be training together in one virtual world. OpenStage™ combines two unique technologies - markerless motion capture with 3D digital scanner that can track humans at full speed. So data of motion, surface, and dimension is available in real-time. This enables a biomechanically accurate view and data of all people in the system. So in addition to driving virtual training sessions, OpenStage™ can provide valuable data either in real-time or post. Integration with Military 3D Engines and Environments
Organic Motion has integrated their innovative tracking system with MAK’s VR-Vantage 3D visualization solution. Organic Motion’s breakthrough image processing software analyzes the video feeds to capture position, orientation, posture, and motion of subjects in the scanning space. OpenStage™ then communicates the resulting information to VR-Vantage (over DIS or HLA), where an animated 3D model mimics the motions of the live person within a simulated scene - all in real-time.
